Commissioned by Bracknell Golfplex during the spring of 2022.
Exactly a year after completing the first two parts of the Bear Mountain Adventure Golf, DD Props was asked to return to Bracknell and complete the third and final "Desert Course"; designing, building and sculpting the main attractions - snakes, pyramids, an obelisk, a boat and lots of edging.
THE SNAKES
The main snake body stretches out to a mighty 13 metres over the pond. It is made out of 8mm ReBar, metal mesh, fibreglass and concrete.
The smaller Desert Cobra weaving in and out of the ground was carved out of polystyrene in our Bermondsey workshop and sculpted out of concrete on site.

THE PYRAMIDS
From bricklaying to dry-brushing, the middle pyramid was created in just under a week. The hundreds of stones covering it were individually laid, sculpted and carved out of concrete.
THE OBELISK
Towering at 3 metres, the Obelisk was first created out of Plywood in our Bermondsey workshop and shipped to Bracknell in two-parts. The whole was meshed, sculpted, stamped, sprayed and dry-brushed in a day. We love how it turned out and is one of our favourite pieces.
THE BOAT
Made out of fibreglass and resin, this Egyptian-style boat was created in our Bermondsey workshop in London and themed onsite.
NATURAL LOG/ROCK WORK
The main features like the Pyramids only make up a fraction of the work done on site. A lot of our time is spent on creating metres and metres of edging, making the sides of the holes to look like natural logs or rocks.
