By far the shortest and most exciting project we have taken on. In just three days, we were able to cut, carve, shape, cover, paint and seal this stunning sculpture placed in the heart of Granary Square, King's Cross.
THE CARVING
On the first day, we cut out our main skull shape out of polystyrene, which we then carved, sculpted and sanded down to a perfect finish. The second day was covering the whole skull with three layers of Jesmonite, which was brushed on to created a wonderfully realistic bone texture.
THE PAINTING
On the third day, we painted the skull to the exact specification of our client, making sure everything stroke matched the brief perfectly. The whole was sealed to be weather-resistant. We could not be happier with the end result.
